Odesa native successfully promotes Ukrainian cuisine in Turkey

Tetiana Ipekchi was born in Odesa Oblast, used to work at Odesa Bread-Baking Factory No.4. Then she got married, gave birth to a son and soon left for Istanbul to improve her professional skills and earn extra money.

There she met her second husband, who is Turkish of Armenian origin. She has been living in Istanbul for 10 years already. Tetiana is a housewife but she doesn’t forget about her profession, that is why she constantly self-improves cooking different Ukrainian dishes for her compatriots working in Turkey. While cooking Tetiana uses Ukrainian products that her son sends from Ukraine.

A unique solar station starts working in Dnipropetrosk Oblast

The third line of the modern solar station was opened in Dnipropetrovsk oblast (Pidhorodne). It’s equipped with a unique for Europe tracking system. Instead of common stationary boards with solar panels it has movable modules following the sun. The third line of the station consists of 7,000 modules (overall, 10,400 modules are operating at the station).

Each hour the station generates more than 2.5 kW, during a year it can supply energy to 27,000 houses. These movable panels allow producing 50 percent energy more than usual stationary panels, saving about half a million tons of coal per year, and avoiding greenhouse gases.

‘Solar Park Pidhorne’ solar station is funded by Ukrainian investors. The cost of the third line is about Hr 20 million.

Ukraine and Poland to produce helicopters of new generation

As Antoni Macerevichnow, Minister of Defense of Poland, says his country needs helicopters, ‘It would be completely new design based on potential of other countries. It is a well-known fact that Ukrainians produce very good engines at ‘Motor Sich’ plant. It is a very interesting product both for Poland and other countries of Central Europe’.

Helicopters of new generation will be used not just in Poland but in all over the world.

Hryhorii Polishchuk wins second place at Aquaspace International Contest

The master of aquarium design Hryhorii Polishchuk from Ivano-Frankivsk took second place at International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest IAPLC that took place in Taiwan.

As Hryhorii says aquascape art is very new, though both in Ukraine and in the world it is developing very fast, ‘Now Ukraine has plenty of aquarium products producers of good quality and reasonable price’.

Aquascape is an art of designing aquarium compositions and spaces. International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest (IAPLC) was founded in 2001 by prominent photographer and aquarium designer, scientist Takishi Omano, who is also a founder of aquascape concept.

6th Festival ‘Baltic Stars’ in Riga

October 29-30, the 6th International Festival of Ukrainian Youth’s Art ‘Baltic Stars’ will take place in Riga. The festival will present soloists and bands from Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, guests from Lithuania and Germany. Ukraine delegates bands and soloists from Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv and Zakarpattia. The festival program includes both concerts and workshops, show of ancient folk costumes, meetings with writers.

The festival is organized by Ukrainian Center for Youth and Children in Latvia.
