‘Welcome to Ukrainians’ fest to host national costumes fashion show

May 22, II Ukrainian Tourist Festival ‘Welcome to Ukrainians’ will present a fashion show of national costumes from different parts of Ukraine.

The event is supported by ‘Ukraina Antiqua’ brand founded by Maksym Ochkur and Ihor Tureiskyi, second year students of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, historical faculty.

‘At the beginning of the study we started admiring traditional Ukrainian culture including clothes. A year ago our interest turned into a serious business, we founded ‘Ukraina Antiqua’ brand. At the same time we pay attention to collecting and learning tradition clothes’, young men comments.

The fashion show will be accompanied with a narration about costumes elements.

Mexicans enjoy Ukrainian food and hospitality

April, 24 Ukrainian community of Guadalajara debuted at the annual international gastronomic festival. Ukrainians arranged a huge stand decorated with embroidery and ribbons, wooden chariot, clay pots, rushnyks, poppy flowers and blooming cherries.

The stand was hosted by beautiful Ukrainian ladies wearing flower wreathes and kids in ‘Glory to Ukraine’ T-shirts.

The stand visitors could try borshch, varenyky, pyrizhky, uzvar and medovik.

Souvenirs shop and wreath making workshop for kids were also a part of the stand exhibition.

As Olena Klopota, the representative of Ukrainian community in Guadalajara, says the Mexicans enjoyed Ukrainian stand, the hospitality and tasty food.

Ukrainian and Hungarian cooks to meet at Lutsk Food Fest

The third gastronomic festival Lutsk Food Fest will take place at Lubart’s Castle on May, 14-15.

More than 30 restaurants from all over Ukraine and Hungary applied for the participation, however, the festival organizers are going to choose just 23 participants who will present their products at the festival.

Apart from tasting the festival also includes food fair.

The admission fee is UAH15.

Epee fencer Bohdan Nikishyn wins Grand Prix in Rio de Janeiro

35-years-old Bohdan Nikishyn from Dnipropetrovsk, leader of the national fencing team, bested at Grand Prix in Rio de Janiero, pre-testing Olympic tournament.

On the way to his victory Bohdan could defeat two champions of Europe, the world championship prize-winner, and a four-time winner of the continent championship, an athlete from Switzerland.

Another Ukrainian athlete, Anatoliy Herei from Zakarpattia, won a bronze medal.

Google digital marketing courses are available in Ukrainian

Google Company launched a free educational program Digital Workshop. The international free courses in digital marketing are translated in Ukrainian. Everyone is welcomed to study.

Actually, the program is a set of study books and materials introducing basics of internet marketing (for example, online shop promotion, increasing audience in social networks, etc).

The course includes short video lessons, text materials and small quizzes. The company assumes that the learning materials are comprehensible for any Internet user – from a student to a businessman. The course requires students to make their own curriculums and study on their own.
