“I try to overcome poorly cleaned stretches of streets. In some places, it’s OK – Khreshchatyk Street, for example. But the quality of public utilities should be upgraded. They need to pay attention to workers and fire everybody who doesn’t clean our city.”

Halyna Potapchuk,

pensioner

“God protected me, so I haven’t slipped yet. I try to keep eye on the road and use public transport if possible. But Kyiv still needs more snow removal and street cleaners as well. So good luck to us!”

Paul Myles,

computer programmer

“I’m from Canada so I’m used to winter. It’s the same as here.  In some places in Canada, we have badly cleaned roads. Here they do a good job, I think. And I have good shoes.”

Vasyl Gorbenko,

pensioner

“I’m confident in my shoes. I don’t know the whole situation in Kyiv, yet Khreshchatyk is rather clean. But in Poltava we have no problems with it. We don’t fall on the roads. Our city is the cleanest and most beautiful. So if you have any problems, just visit Poltava!”

Oleksandr Pavlovskiy,

businessman

“I haven’t’ fallen on the street so far. But it will be rather difficult. Authorities should pay more attention to the city. Of course, they use Lincoln cars so they’re not afraid to slip on the road.”
