Nikolas Kozloff is a New York-based author and photographer who received his doctorate in Latin American history from Oxford University. He is the author of Hugo Chávez: Oil, Politics and the Challenge to the U.S., Revolution! South America and the Rise of the New Left and No Rain in the Amazon: How South America’s Climate Change Affects the Entire Planet. Kozloff has provided political analysis for CNN, PBS’ Charlie Rose show, the BBC and National Public Radio. Recently, he has been writing about the deterioration in East-West relations, Vladimir Putin and Ukraine. Kozloff speaks some rudimentary Russian and concluded a research trip to Kyiv, Ukraine in 2014.
