You're reading: LEOGAMING at Gamescom 2017: how to work in a business area.

LEOGAMING – an international processing company from Ukraine – was one of the exhibitors at Gamescom this year. This is the second time the company is taking part in this gaming industry exhibition in Cologne, Germany.
The exhibition was attended by only 3 Ukrainian companies and LEOGAMING, same as the last ear, was the only representative of the e-commerce market on the event. LEOGAMING team would like to share their impressions and working experience in the business zone, and give advice to those companies, who are planning to introduce themselves with the stand next year.
The multimillion audience of gaming enthusiasts knows Gamescom as a huge space with the stands of the best game publishers and developers from all around the world, where they can test the game premiers, receive gifts and just have fun with the friends and other game fans.
However, the business area is a three-day business development workshop, which provides a unique opportunity to establish new contacts and – with the right approach – an opportunity to fulfill the annual plan of profitable transactions and to present the company on a global level.
Gamescom 2017 has doubled the business area – instead of two Koelnmesse halls, the sales representatives occupied four. And it's not because of the special Activision Blizzard, Wargaming and Electronic Arts business lounges, whose lines were blocked despite of closed access or meetings booked half a year in advance. More and more countries are coming to the exhibition, and some of them have introduced new thematic pavilions. The gaming industry is strongly supported by the Great Britain and South Korea, who invited lots of potentially interesting companies to discuss mutually beneficial cooperation.

So, how to organize your work at Gamescom and get the max out of it? LEOGAMING team gives some useful lifehacks to future exhibitors. It will you help to present yourself competently and get dozens of targeted contacts.
1. Place your stand in a proper place. Gamescom business area is a targeted business area by itself, but 2017 shows that it is so big, that it also has its own structure. If you represent a payment service or a method, place your stand next to your colleagues, and if you want to "sell" the game, then look for neighbors among similar game developers.
2. Start your preparations 8 months in advance, and plan your meetings – 10 months in advance. Good spots go away quickly, and the schedule of the largest and most popular publishers gets full half a year before the event. Be the first to always have a choice and a field for a maneuver.
3. Prioritize your meetings. The more important the meeting is, the earlier it should take place. The first day of the business area is the busiest day, since more than 25% of the companies simply do not come on the third day.

59a55d3ca545dthumb_dsc_0187_10244. Carry your presentation to an apogee. The presentation of the company and services should not exceed 5 minutes, and the offer should be expressed in one or two sentences. Give the priority to the schemes or infographics instead of large text blocks.
5. Arrange an additional area for unplanned meetings. Schedule is good, but force majeure may happen, so always foresee it and be ready for the communication.
6. Confirm your deals on parties and networkings. Our constant advice. Аccept all invitations to the evening parties in the city or on the booth, when establishing newcontacts. Informal atmosphere and sincere conversation over a glass may become a winning argument in the future deal.

“The Gamescom 2017 Business area is definitely going through its best days. For the last several years, it has become not just an "exclusive" part of a huge entertainment zone, but a unique hub for establishing and strengthening cooperation between all branches of the rapidly growing gaming industry. Becoming a part of this, means getting into the global flow, from which LEOGAMING plans to incorporate only the best in the Ukrainian payment market.”
