You're reading: TEDxKyiv 2018: The legacy of the future – the biggest festival of ideas and inspiration to be held in Kyiv

The 10th TEDxKyiv conference: The Legacy of the Future will be held at the ACCO International Exhibition Center on 8-9 September. Topics covered in the more than 20 performances include heritage, innovation and human transformation, the speed and energy of change, education and science, art and technology. This day-and-a-half event – the first of its kind in Ukraine – offers an opportunity to jointly build the future through the prism of ideas worth sharing.

“Taking into account the situation in Ukraine and the experience of our previous TEDx events, we realized that new contexts often allow us to look at familiar things from a new angle and explore alternative solutions. We need a safe environment for like-minded people, where we can collectively reflect on our experience and together plan the future for future generations. This is what we, the TEDxKyiv team, are trying to create. Having a license of a second level, we are the first team in Ukraine who is legally entitled to hold such a conference. Over one and a half days, we have the time to absorb the wisdom and inspiration from people around us,” Vladyslav Greziev, TEDxKyiv licensee, says.

This year’s speakers include:

Denys Bihus, one of the top five anti-corruption activists in the world; Oles Petriv, a machine learning systems development engineer; Ilia Filipov, a co-founder and CEO of the EdEra online education studio; Sharp, and provocative puppet cabaret TseSho, the project of Vlad Troitskyi; Andriy MedGoblin, an anesthetist, PhD in medical sciences, an author of scientific papers and several patents; Olesya Yaskevych, an inclusion activist; András Arato is a 73-year-old Hungarian, electrical engineer, scientist also known as Hide the Pain Harold and many others.

Apart from the fascinating talks and performances, we prepared for you a lot of entertainment, workshops, and even an opportunity to present your own TED-ideas! Networking, parties, treats, gift bags and other surprises are waiting for you at TEDxKyiv: The Legacy of the Future!
