Investments in Beehive honey plant in Cherkasy region amounted to 10 million euro, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv has said at the opening of the enterprise.

“Today in Cherkasy. Beehive, a new plant for honey production, a joint Ukrainian-Austrian project with the investments of about 10 million euro, is now opening. This is 115 workers and high-tech production at the plant, which has an annual output of 16,000 tonnes of finished products,” he wrote on his Facebook page during a working trip to Cherkasy region.

According to a press release from Beehive company, the plant produces monofloral and polyfloral honey, its production capacity is 40 tonnes of honey per day. The enterprise occupies an area of 5,000 square meters.

It is noted production of honey at the Beehive plant complies with the international standards of processing bee products.

“This is the only full-cycle production in Ukraine with quality certificate FSSC22000, due to which the company can export certified honey lots around the world,” the company said.

Beehive is engaged in production of honey. It has its own apiary in Cherkasy region, and also buys honey from beekeepers in Central, Eastern and Southern Ukraine. The company exports honey to the EU countries.

Beehive is part of Effective Investments company, which implements innovative business projects in Ukraine.
