The European Commission (EC) fined the Facebook social network for 110 million euros, according to which Facebook misled it when buying the WhatsApp service in 2014. This was reported by European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestarger, reports DW.
She explained that when buying WhatsApp, Facebook informed that it would not be able to “introduce a reliable automatic connection” between users’ of Facebook accounts and in the WhatsApp messenger.
