Power generating company Centrenergo plans to reorganize from a public joint-stock company into a private joint-stock company.

According to the report, the issue of changing the type of the company and its name was included in the agenda of the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting scheduled for Oct. 11.

As reported, Centrenergo in 2016 saw net profit rise by 17.7 times (by Hr 365.011 million) compared to 2015, to Hr 386.867 million, net income by 55.8% (by Hr 3.832 billion), to Hr 10.696 billion, gross profit by 9.1 times (Hr 881.551 million), to Hr 990.2 million.

Centrenergo thermal power plants in 2016 consumed 4.764 million tonnes of coal. In particular, consumption of anthracite coal was 2.235 million tonnes, gas coal stood at 2.528 million tonnes.
