You're reading: EBRD to organize loan of 80 million euro for Ukreximbank

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will organize a syndicated loan in favor of state-owned Ukreximbank (Kyiv) in the amount of 80 million euro to support renewable energy and energy efficiency private investments in Ukraine.

The EBRD board approved the project on June 19, EBRD Senior Adviser on Foreign Affairs Anton Usov told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to a posting on the website, the loan will comprise an “A Loan” portion of up to € 40 million for the EBRD’s own account.

Ukreximbank, a wholly owned state bank, was established in 1992. It ranked third among 77 banks in Ukraine in terms of total assets worth Hr 232.064 billion as of January 1, 2019, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
