The Epicenter K Group, developing agrarian business, since early 2020 has invested Hr 160 million in the upgrade of its agricultural machinery fleet.

According to the group’s May 26 press release, in general, investments in the purchase of new agricultural equipment for the Epicenter Agro segment exceed Hr 1.1 billion.

The group said that the use of powerful new tractors and seeders made it possible to speed up the spring sowing time by almost 1.5 times simultaneously with a significant increase in the volume of the land bank.

“This year, at Epicenter Agro enterprises, spring crops were sown in record time – in only 18 days, grain and oilseeds were sown on an area of 160,000 hectares,” the group said.

Epicenter K acquired 10 Fendt 936 Vario tractors (360 hp) and 15 Horsch Maestro 24.70 precision seeders. The supplier of this equipment was Astra Agro-Construction Alliance, which will also provide its after-sales service.

According to the group, since Epicenter Agro is gradually shifting to the use of liquid fertilizers, seven new Horsch Maestro AHL seeders are equipped with the function of applying liquid fertilizers. Another eight Horsch Maestro SW seeders purchased this year provide for the introduction of dry granular fertilizers, but it is also planned to equip them with liquid fertilizer systems for 2021.

In addition, five New Holland ST-250 continuous cultivators were purchased for Epicenter Agro farms in 2020, and seven inter-row cultivators were additionally refitted with simultaneous application of liquid fertilizers.
