You're reading: EU starts expiry review of antidumping duties on imports of seamless pipes from Ukraine, Russia

The European Commission has initiated an expiry review of the anti-dumping measures applicable to imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel originating in Russia and Ukraine.

According to a press release of the trade protection department of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine on July 13, notice No. 2017/C 214/07 was published in the EU Official Journal on July 4.

The products are currently falling within CN codes (EU) 7304 19 10, 7304 11 00, 7304 19 30, 7304 22 00, 7304 23 00, 7304 24 00, 7304 29 10, 7304 29 30, 7304 31 80, 7304 39 58, 7304 39 92, 7304 39 93, 7304 51 89, 7304 59 92 and 7304 59 93.

The interested parties wishing to submit relative information have the right to register as participants of the review within 15 days from the moment of publication of the notice in the Official Journal.

Due to the large number of producers the European Commission will review the duties using information from selected exporters.

The duties have been in effect since 2006. The duty for Dnipropetrovsk Pipe Plant is 12.3 percent, Interpipe Niko Tube, Interpipe Nyzhniodniprovsky Pipe Rolling Plant – 13.8 percent and Nikopol Steel Pipe Plant YUTIST and other companies – 25.7 percent.
