Industrial production in Ukraine in August 2018 decreased by 0.5 percent compared to August 2017, while in July the growth was 2.9 percent compared to July 2017, in June this figure was 2.2 percent, in May some 2.5 percent, in April some 3 percent, the State Statistics Service has said.
The agency said that with the adjustment to the effect of calendar days, industrial production in August 2018 also fell by 0.5 percent from August 2017, while in July 2018 from July 2017 the growth was 2.3 percent, in June 2018 from June 2017 some 2.5 percent.
The service said compared to the previous month industrial production in August of this year also decreased by 0.5 percent, and taking into account the seasonal factor the reduction was 0.7 percent.
According to the agency, in general, in the eight months of 2018, the growth of industrial production in Ukraine compared to the same period in 2017 slowed down to 2.2 percent, while for the seven months this figure stood at 2.6 percent, being 2.5 percent in the six months.
