You're reading: Industrial production in Ukraine 0.4 percent up in October

Industrial production in Ukraine in October increased by 0.4 percent compared to the same month in 2016, while in September it decreased by 0.3 percent, and in August grew by 1.2 percent, the State Statistics Service has said.

The agency said with the adjustment to the effect of calendar days industrial production in October 2017 decreased by 0.5 percent from October 2016.

The service said in comparison with the previous month in October of this year industrial production grew by 6.9 percent, however, taking into account the seasonal factor it decreased by 0.1 percent.

The rise in processing industry in October was 5.7 percent, while the decline in mining and quarrying was 8.1 percent, in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning some 7.6 percent.

According to the report, in general, for the ten months of 2017 industrial production in Ukraine decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the same period in 2016, while in the nine months the fall was 0.3 percent, in the eight months some 0.4 percent, and in the seven months some 0.7 percent.
