More than 30 leading companies in Ukraine will participate in the Kyiv Post Employment Fair on March 25 as they look to hire the best and brightest among hundreds of job seekers.

Attendees will also be able to talk to experts for career advice.

The fair is a biannual recruiting event with a 12-year track record in career matchmaking. It will take place at Olympic Stadium at 55 Velyka Vasylkivska St. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry costs Hr 25.

Ielyzaveta Maksymets, senior recruitment and employer brand specialist at Ernst & Young Ukraine, said the event is a great opportunity. “It’s an effective channel for finding a job, and a good platform for company presentation,” she told the Kyiv Post.

Maksymets said the company is looking for beginners and more experienced applicants. “We always welcome young people who want to develop,” she said.

Representatives Professionals for Reform Support Mechanism will attend the event for the first time. The project seeks to fill a range of vacancies in Ukraine’s government ministries.

“We need experts who can make changes in the country quickly,” operations manager Iryna Tushnytska said.

The employment fair gives both sides the chance to talk in person and make numerous contacts at once.

PwC Ukraine recruitment specialist Natalia Beksyak believes that fairs “remain an excellent platform for live communication and dialogue between the employer and the candidate.”

The list of participating companies includes Porsche Ukraine LLC, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Brain Source International, PwC, L’Oréal Ukraine, Smart IT, ProCredit bank, Mazars, EBS and Baker Tilly Ukraine.

Apart from talking to representatives of top companies, participants will have the opportunity to attend seminars held by leading companies Brain Source International and Beetroot.

Recruiting company Brain Source International is sending two speakers, Ivan Spivak and Aleksandr Naradovyy. The topic of their seminar will be how to use a part-time job as a springboard for starting a career.

Fair visitors will also be able to attend lectures by other outstanding speakers.

Yuilia Tychkivska of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Kyiv Hub will tell visitors about the importance of keeping up to date with modern educational trends.

“The world is changing constantly. Companies’ demands on employees and education are also changing. That’s why it is important to follow modern trends,” Tychkivska said.

The vice president of marketing at Readdle, Denys Zhadanov, will describe the things he wishes he had known when he was young in a speech called “Five things nobody told me when I was 20.”

Other speakers include Verkhovna Rada lawmaker Mustafa Nayyem; the lead singer of band O.Torvald, Evgeniy Halych; Maksym Bahmatov, the CEO of the National Expocenter of Ukraine; and deputy governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Roman Borisenko.
