Nova Poshta International (part of Nova Poshta Group) has noted the need for Ukraine to obtain additional Polish permits for international trucking to maintain the stable operation of the logistics business.

“The situation that has developed on the border with Poland is critical for all international carriers. Due to a lack of permits for cargo transportation, hundreds of tonnes of goods are stuck in the country, including the orders of Nova Poshta International customers,” Director of Nova Poshta International Yuriy Benevytsky said.

He emphasized that the company is doing everything possible to deliver goods on time: it uses different transport, and develops bypass routes.

“But without the availability of a sufficient number of permits, we will not be able to meet the appropriate delivery time. We really hope that the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety and the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine will find a way out of this situation, because both entrepreneurs and private clients waiting for their orders suffer from it,” the expert said.

As reported, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine agreed with the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland to annul 160,000 previously issued transport permits for entry from Nov. 12.

At the same time, in early November Ukrainian carriers will additionally receive 5,000 Polish permits, and on Nov. 15 another 10,000 permits from the preliminary exchange of permits for 2020 for use in 2019, which will be valid until Jan. 31, 2021.

In addition, the Ukrainian and Polish parties achieved an agreement on the preliminary exchange of permits for 2020 at the level of 2019 in the amount of 160,000 pieces.
