PJSC Odesa Port-Side Chemical Plant has started the resumption of production, first deputy chairman of the company Mykola Schurikov said on his Facebook page.

“Today we’ve launched resumption of production. All-Ukrainian Energy Company fulfilled its obligations to supply gas for launch and made an advance payment for the plant’s processing,” he said.

Schurikov added it is planned to put into operation one ammonia production unit and two carbamide production units.

“The main obligations of the crude supplier [All-Ukrainian Energy Company] is to provide up to 3 million cubic meters of gas to start production and monthly up to 60 million cubic meters of gas as raw materials under a give-and-take scheme,” he said.

As reported, when trying to launch production in late October-early November 2017, the plant faced technical problems (the compressor failed). At that time ERU Group acted as a partner of the plant on a give-and-take basis processing.
