You're reading: Police raid Regal Petroleum’s facility

Officers of the economy protection department of the national police in Poltava region have raided the territory of the temporary metering and separation unit of Regal Petroleum in Lokhvytsia district, the press service of Smart Energy, a shareholder in Regal Petroleum, has reported.

“The absence of permits for deposit and land use and sales of extracted fossil fuel for cash was announced a ground for these actions,” Smart Energy said.

The group said that in fact, the criminal case is linked to other issues: the observation of industrial safety standards during repair of well six in Lokhvytsia district.

“Representatives of the National Police refused to attend the industrial safety training, which is obligatory for all hazardous facilities… The industrial site was raided with a blatant violation of industrial safety standards, which was a threat for production safety and all persons present at the site,” Smart Energy said.

The group said that this is not the first raid at Regal Petroleum’s facilities. Police representatives ignore the proofs presented to them and try to hinder economic activities.

Regal’s controlling stake of 54 percent belongs to Energees Management, which is wholly owned by Pelidona Services Limited, which holds all the shares of Lovitia Investments Ltd, which is wholly owned by businessman Vadim Novinsky, the owner of Smart Holding Group.
