Ryanair (Ireland), the largest European low-cost air carrier, has stopped the sale of tickets for flights to Kyiv and Lviv.

This is evidenced by the ticket sales system on the airline’s website.

There are no official statements of the company on the website, however it is impossible to purchase tickets for Ukrainian flights.

As reported, Ryanair announced its intention in 2017 to launch flights on four directions from Kyiv and seven from Lviv.

According to Ryanair CCO David O’Brien, it was planned to launch flights from Kyiv to Eindhoven, London, Manchester and Stockholm. In general, 15 flights per week were planned on these directions. The company also planned to launch flights from Lviv to London, Eindhoven, Berlin and Memmingen, Krakow, Wroclaw, and Budapest.

However, on July 10, Head of Boryspil Airport Pavlo Riabikin said Ryanair is setting requirements for flights to Kyiv, which do not comply with the Ukrainian legislation.

“First of all, they demand that disputes be resolved in the London arbitration with the application of London law, but we insist that such issues should be resolved in Ukrainian courts,” he said.
