Laudamotion airline, since August 2018 being under control of Ireland’s low-cost airline Ryanair, will launch a flight from Kyiv to Vienna from February 2, 2019.

According to a timetable on the airline’s website, it plans to fly on the route five times a week. The cost of tickets starts from 9.99 euro in February and March and from 25.99 euro next months.

At present, UIA, WizzAir and Austrian Airlines fly from Kyiv to Vienna.

In August 2018, Ryanair announced the completion of the acquisition of 75 percent of Laudamotion shares, having previously bought 24.9 percent of the airline’s shares in the spring.

According to the information on the website, the Laudamotion fleet consists of 19 aircraft manufactured by Airbus, and the airline services flights to 49 destinations in 18 countries. Its headquarters is located in Vienna, but it also develops bases in Stuttgart and Düsseldorf, planning to transport 5 million passengers in 2019.
