You're reading: Tax police report on liquidation of 264 illegal fuel stations

The tax police, as part of the fight against illicit turnover and retail trade in fuel, have liquidated 264 illegal fuel filling stations, the State Fiscal Service has said.

“Based on the results of measures taken from Dec. 13 to Jan. 3, some 264 illegal fuel and gas stations were liquidated. More than 3,500 tonnes of fuel and lubricants totaling more than Hr 63 million and equipment of illegal fuel stations for a total of more than Hr 57 million were withdrawn from illegal turnover,” the agency said on Facebook.

At present, the dismantling of equipment that was used in illegal activities is ongoing, the department added.

As reported, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk instructed the State Fiscal Service and law enforcement agencies to resolve the problem of illegal fuel turnover by Jan. 9.
