You're reading: Ukraine imports 2.5 million tonnes of coal for $358 million in January-February

Ukraine in January and February 2017 imported 2.464 million tonnes of coal and anthracite (foreign activity code 2701) worth $357.591 million.
According to the State Fiscal Service, Russia supplied coal for $247.237 million (69.1 percent of total imports), the United States for $65.399 million (18.3 percent), Kazakhstan for $20.449 million (5.7 percent), other countries for $24.505 million (6.9 percent).

Thus, in money terms imports of coal and anthracite last month grew by 2.1 times compared to January and February 2016 ($170.897 million).

Ukraine in January and February 2017 exported 107,517 tonnes of coal and anthracite for $14.706 million, in particular to Russia for $6.079 million, Slovakia for $3.84 million, Turkey for $2.566 million, and other countries for $2.221 million.
