Finance Ministry of Ukraine is holding negotiations with G7 on the possibility of providing funds to Ukraine, Finance Minister Oksana Markarova has said.

“We are now actively working on lending, attracting resources from international financial institutions (IFIs) and potential bilateral lending,” she said at the Annual Ukraine Investor Conference organized by Dragon Capital in Kyiv on Feb. 12.

Regarding bilateral lending, she said that the ministry is in talks with the G7 countries. At the same time, the minister did not rule out the possibility of attracting loans from other countries that would agree to finance Ukraine.

The finance minister did not specify the sum of potential borrowings from both IFIs and G7 countries. However, she recalled that the total amount of external loans in 2019 is planned at the level of $4 billion.
