Ukrainian enterprises and organizations in January-March received profit from ordinary activities before taxation in the amount of Hr 102.615 billion, whereas in January-March 2016 they posted a loss of Hr 58.556 billion, the State Statistics Service said.
According to its data, in the first quarter of 2017 Ukrainian enterprises that worked profitably received Hr 157 billion of profit, which is 61 percent more than in the same period in 2016.
At the same time, 34.9 percent of enterprises saw losses. Their losses in the first quarter of 2017 decreased almost by 3 times compared to January-March 2016, to Hr 54.4 billion.
According to statistics, the share of unprofitable enterprises in the first quarter of this year compared to last year fell by 3.6 percentage points, to 36.1 percent.
