The public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia and Croatia’s Crosco Integrated Drilling & Well Services Ltd have signed two contracts on drilling twelve wells in Poltava region.

“There is good news: Ukrgazvydobuvannia has signed two contracts with Croatia’s Crosco Integrated Drilling & Well Services Ltd on drilling twelve new wells in Poltava region,” the premier wrote on his Facebook page on August 16 morning.

According to him, this is the first project in the history of Ukraine’s largest gas producer, which is carried out by a foreign contractor using state-of-the-art drilling equipment.

The prime minister noted that the project will help Ukraine achieve energy independence through increasing domestic gas production.
