You're reading: Ukrposhta signs 30 million euros loan agreement with the European Investment Bank

The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Ukrposhta, during the 22nd Ukraine-EU summit in Brussels, signed an agreement on attracting a 30 million euros loan for the construction of three new sorting centers, 20 post depots and the development of IT infrastructure, Vice-President of the EIB Lilyana Pavlova has said.

The projects will be dedicated to supporting the improvement of the modernization of the Ukrposhta logistics network, including new sorting yards, about 20 new depots, as well as investments in IT infrastructure, she said during a press briefing on Oct. 6.

According to her, the investments will improve the level of postal services and reduce the delivery time for international and domestic parcels, letters and documents.

The loan is being provided along with technical assistance to modernize the national postal operator’s logistics network, the EIB added.
