Ukraine’s largest private energy holding DTEK, controlled by businessman Rinat Akhmetov, in 2017 reduced electricity output by 7.4 percent from 2016, to 37 billion kWh.

However, the company’s electricity exports last year grew by 25.5 percent, to almost 5 billion kWh, while coal exports fell by 43.9 percent, to 748,000 tonnes, according to a report published on DTEK’s website.
