Ukraine in January 2018 imported fuel assemblies, used as fuel at nuclear power plants, worth $81.3 million.

As reported by the State Statistics Service, during the reporting period, 44.9 tonnes of nuclear fuel was purchased from Russia, totaling $52.9 million (in the general structure of purchases, the share of Russian fuel stood at 56 percent), and from Sweden – at 35.2 tons, worth $28.4 million.
