As of October 24, 2011, Ukraine produced 47.8 mln tonnes of grains, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. According to the announcement, agrarians harvested grains and leguminous crops throughout the areas of 13.9 mln ha, or 90% of the forecast. The average yield of these crops in the country totaled 34.4 c/ha against 27.7 c/ha last year.
