Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure has published data on the use of flight permits by airlines, according to which the largest airline in the country - Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) – uses 73 out of the existing 201 permits, i.e. 36.3 percent.

According to the ministry, as of July 9, 2015 Dniproavia used nine out of 72 permits (12.5 percent of the total number), UTair-Ukraine – one of 56 (1.8 percent ), Atlasjet Ukraine – one of 35 (2.8 percent), Windrose – two of 27 (7.4 percent), UM Air – four of 25 (16 percent), Yanair – three of 24 (12.5 percent), Motor Sich – two of 17 (11.8 percent), and Urga – one of two (50 percent).

As reported, the commission of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine on the consideration of rights to operate air routes plans on July 30 to consider cancelling a significant number of permits issued to Ukrainian air carriers,

Consideration will be given to cancelling permits issued to UIA to operate flights in accordance with the service’s letter regarding the grounds of abolishing such rights. This applies to the Kyiv-Donetsk and Kyiv-Simferopol domestic flights, as well as 104 permits for regular international flights; revoking the right of PJSC Motor Sich to fly on seven domestic and two international routes; Dniproavia, according to its statement, three internal, ten regular international destinations, as well as, according to the service’s letter, one domestic and 28 international regular routes.

In addition, permits issued to Windrose for flights on 18 international regular routes, and to Atlasjet Ukraine for 15 domestic routes could be cancelled.
