BRUSSELS - The presence of European observers at the gas metering stations located at the entrance of Russian gas to Ukraine could contribute to the transparency of its supplies to Europe, Head of Naftogaz Ukrainy Andriy Kobolev has stated.

“We want to propose Europe monitor the flow of gas from Ukraine to Europe,” he said at a conference organized by the European Policy Centre in Brussels.

Kobolev noted that all gas metering stations at the entrance of Russian gas to the Ukrainian gas transportation system are located on the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus, which complicates possibilities to control data.
