National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy is in talks with Azerbaijan on oil supplies for processing at Kremenchuk oil refinery, Naftogaz deputy board chairman Vadym Chuprun told journalists in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"There are plans [to process Azerbaijani oil according to a give-and-take scheme at Kremenchuk oil refinery]. The delegation was in Azerbaijan yesterday, and talks are being held," he said.

Chuprun said other details would be announced after the talks with Azerbaijan are completed.

Ukrtransnafta board chairman Oleksandr Lazorko last week announced the plans of Naftogaz.

According to him, the new Pivdenny sea oil terminal-Kremenchuk oil refinery route for oil supplies approved by the National Electricity Regulatory Commission in August 2011 is foreseen for Azeri oil deliveries by the national holding to Ukrtatnafta.
