You're reading: Roshen opens its first confectionery store in Hungary

Large Ukrainian confectionery producer, Roshen, which received control of Hungarian-based Bonbonetti Choco Kft in 2012, has opened its first Roshen store in Hungary, which is the corporation's first branded store the European Union. 

As Roshen said on Friday, the store with an area of 80 square meters is located downtown Budapest. It sells both Bonbonetti sweets and hand-made pralines.

Roshen opened its first store in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2008. The store occupies 250 square meters and is located close to Roshen’s Karl Marx confectionery factory. The second store with an area of 900 square meters opened in 2009.

Currently, Roshen’s chain consists of 10 branded stores, including eight in Kyiv, and one in Vinnytsia and Odesa.

Roshen, a leading confectionary producer in Ukraine, operates confectionery factories in Kyiv, Mariupol, Kremenchuk and Vinnytsia, the dairy producer Bershadmoloko. It also runs confectionary facilities abroad: in Klaipeda (Lithuania), Lipetsk (Russia), and Bonbonetti Choco (Hungary).

The company produces around 200 types of products. Its total annual production volume is up to 410,000 tonnes.
