The share of Russian gas imports in January-September 2015 was 30.2 percent compared to 86.3 percent year-over-year, public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz has reported.
The remaining 69.8 percent of gas was imported from Europe, while in January-September 2014 European gas accounted for only 13.7 percent.
Gas imports from Europe to Ukraine grew four-fold in January-September 2015 year-over-year, from 2.2 billion cubic meters to 8.8 billion cubic meters, while Russian imports fell by 73 percent, from 13.9 billion cubic meters to 3.8 billion cubic meters.
