You're reading: Ukraine since early September imports 800 million cubic meters of gas from Europe

Ukraine in the period from Sept. 1 to Sept. 24, 2014 imported 798 million cubic meters of natural gas from Europe, the press service of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz reported on Friday, Sept. 26.

The press service said that since the beginning of 2014 gas supplies from Europe reached almost 2 billion cubic meters, which is one third more than in January-September 2013.

According to tentative data from Eustream, from Sept. 1 to Sept. 24, 2014 imports of gas to Ukraine from Slovakia came to some 618 million cubic meters or around 26 million cubic meters a day.

As reported, Ukraine imported 2.132 bcm of gas from Europe in 2013. In April-August 2014, imports of gas from Europe (Hungary and Poland) to Ukraine came to almost 1.1 billion cubic meters. Gas deliveries from Slovakia started in September.
