You're reading: Ukraine to spend Hr 1.51 billion on developing coal mines

The Ukrainian parliament has ratified a law to introduce changes to the 2012 national budget, according to which coal production enterprises will receive additional Hr 1.51 billion.

According to the document, total budget revenues will increase by Hr 1.51 billion, to UAH 373.841 billion thanks to an increase in revenues from property and business operations.

At the same time, expenditures will increase as Hr 1.45 billion will go to state support for the construction of coal and peat production enterprises, as well as their technical upgrades. An additional Hr 60 million is earmarked for work safety at coal production enterprises.

Total expenditures to support mines and work safety at these enterprises in the 2012 national budget come to Hr 3.15 billion.
