Vuhlehirska thermal power plant in Donetsk Oblast has re-launched its power units Nos. 4 and 1 with a total capacity of 600 MW, PJSC Centrenergo's press service has reported.

“We’ve restarted high-voltage power line feeding the thermal power plant and the town of Svitlodarsk, 35 kV bus cars and transformers 200 and 201. Repairs are under way at power units Nos. 2 and 3,” the company said.

As reported, Vuhlehirska power plant was damaged in the early hours of July 27 due to heavy artillery shelling by Russian-backed terrorists in Donbas.

Centrenergo operates the Vuhlehirska, Zmiyivska and Trypilska thermal power plants with a total installed capacity of 7.55 GW. The Ukrainian government owns 78.3% of Centrenergo’s shares through NJSC Energy Company of Ukraine.
