Ukraine is ready to participate in the completion of gas pipelines running through Turkmenistan, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said. "We're ready to participate in the development of the second branch of the Malay-Bagtyyarlyk gas pipeline, and we're ready to continue supplying our equipment and pipes for this second branch," he said at a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Moreover, Yanukovych said that the construction of a gas pipeline running through Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India was also an interesting project for Ukraine.

Berdimuhamedow is on a state visit to Ukraine. This is the first visit by the president of Turkmenistan to Ukraine for ten years.
