PJSC Zaporizhtransformator (ZTR), a large global manufacturer of transformers, part of Energy Standard Group, intends in the fourth quarter of 2013 to ship transformers and reactors for Ekibastuz power station-1 in Kazakhstan.

According to a press release from ZTR, under the contract signed by
the parties, the value of which has not been disclosed, ZTR will supply
two transformers of 630 MVA 220 kV and 40 MVA 35 kV for power unit No.
2, as well as ten reactors of 60 MVAr 500 kV.

The equipment will be installed as part of the program to modernize
and renew transformers at the plant, one of the largest energy
facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“ZTR has been cooperating with Ekibastuz power station-1 for more
than 30 years as a supplier of equipment for the Kazakh thermal power
plant. Over the last years ZTR had manufactured eight transformers of
various capacities, which are successfully used at the plant power
units. Three of the eight transformers are 630MVA 500kV block
transformers,” the ZTR press service said citing Sales Director
Oleksandr Tsier.

ZTR, having experience in supplying goods to 86 countries, produces
power transformers, electric reactors, and transformer monitoring
systems. Since 2001, it has been part of Energy Standard Group, the
largest owner of which is businessman Konstantin Grigorishin.
