You're reading: Press center for Euro 2012 to open in Kyiv’s Globus shopping mall

A press center for the Euro 2012 European Football Championship will be located in the Globus shopping and entertainment center in Independence Square in Kyiv, Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Puzanov has said.

During a press conference on Thursday, he said that the city state administration managed "to restore justice" and returned over 1,000 square meters of the shopping center to the ownership of the territorial community.

He said he was referring to the premises on the first floor of the part of the shopping center below the Monument to Independence.

Puzanov added that after Euro 2012, the premises would be used for non-profit projects.

In particular, he said that a press club would be located there, while some of the premises could be used for the Museum of Kyiv and institutions of the culture sphere.
