You're reading: Price of secondary housing in Kyiv 0.7% up in February

The average price of secondary housing in Kyiv in February 2013 increased by 0.7% compared to January, to Hr 16,255 per square meter, according to a report of the Stolychna Nerukhomist information-analytical portal (Kyiv).

“In February, compared to January, the price of housing rose by 0.7%,
to Hr 11,892 per square meter on the left bank of Kyiv, while the
price of housing in the center grew by 0.02%, to  Hr 23,202 per square
meter,” reads the report.

The average price of apartments on the right bank of Kyiv decreased by 0.4%, to Hr 15,481 per square meter.

According to the portal, both in February and January the prices of
one-, two- and three-room apartments were growing, while the prices of
four-room apartments were declining.

“The price of one-room apartments was up by 0.8%, to Hr 15,179 per
sq m, that of two-room apartments – by 1.4%, to Hr 16,656 per sq m, and
that of three-room apartments – by 0.7%, to Hr 16,104 per sq m. The
price of four-room apartments fell by 1.9%, to Hr 17,823 per sq m,”
said the experts.

According to them, the supply of housing on the secondary market last month continued to decline.

“In February the supply of apartments on the secondary market in Kyiv
decreased by 4.6% compared to January and reached 16,587 apartments.
The supply in terms of area and in monetary terms fell by 5.4% and 5.1%
respectively,” reads the report.

According to the portal, the share of housing put up for sale for the
first time in February was 13% of the total supply, the average cost of
new housing in the capital was Hr 15,579 per sq m.

Stolychna Nerukhomist said that a total of 16,587 apartments were
analyzed, including 3,620 one-room apartments, 5,337 two-room
apartments, 5,337 three-room apartments and 1,697 four-room apartments.
