An anti-government rally in Kyiv has ended in front of the presidential administration.
According to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, the demonstrators handed over to a representative of the presidential administration their demands concerning a veto of the amendments to the Tax Code adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.
Then they announced through a loudhailer that the rally had finished successfully and the protesters started to disperse.
Representatives of 250 non-governmental organizations and trade unions from various parts of Ukraine gathered for a rally entitled "Forward!" to demand the dissolution of parliament.
"We have gathered here to inform the parliament, government and president that our patience has come to an end. On the day marking the third anniversary of a huge anti-tax demonstration in central Kyiv, the Tax Maidan, the third stage of the action "Forward!" -Autumn Offensive has begun. We are here today to hand the deputies their symbolic dismissal notices, as they have failed to fulfill the duties vested on them by citizens and have violated their oath," the head of the rally headquarters, Andriy Panayetov, said.
After knocking down the fence surrounding the Verkhovna Rada’s building and square, the demonstrators were driven out of the square by the police.
The protesters then went to the cabinet building and the presidential administration.
