NYON, Switzerland (AP) — UEFA has opened a disciplinary case against Jose Mourinho to investigate his "inappropriate" comments after 10-man Real Madrid lost to Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals.
UEFA did not specify charges against the Portuguese coach, who suggested UEFA had a three-year conspiracy to help Barcelona.
UEFA says its disciplinary committee will hear the case on May 6.
Mourinho will also be investigated for being banished from the dugout by for comments directed at match officials after Pepe was sent off.
The UEFA panel also will investigate Madrid over "the throwing of missiles, a pitch invasion, the red card shown to Pepe."
UEFA will also investigate Barcelona over substitute goalkeeper Jose Pinto's red card.
