There was good progress in the recovery of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko during her stay in a Kharkiv hospital, CEO of the Berlin-based Charite Clinic Karl Max Einhaupl has said.

“During her stay in Hospital No. 5, it was possible to see quite good
progress in the state of her health. But because of the allergy that
began on July 5, we had to suspend therapeutic treatment for 20 days.
Now we will continue therapeutic treatment again,” he told reporters
near the building of the hospital on Monday.

Einhaupl also noted that because of the forced break in therapeutic
treatment, the patient experienced some problems in general symptoms.
The doctor said that he and his other colleagues from Charite, Lutz
Harms and Anett Reisshauer, had examined the patient and discussed her
treatment with other members of an international commission.

“We held a joint meeting with the international commission, and we
expressed our ideas and got the ideas of the Ukrainian side,” Einhaupl
said.

He also praised the level of cooperation with Ukrainian doctors, with
those who treat Tymoshenko in Hospital No. 5 and with members of the
international commission.

“All claims that German doctors are treating Ukrainian doctors with disdain have no place in our work,” he said

Einhaupl also promised that German doctors would soon arrive in Kharkiv again.
