You're reading: Constitutional Court denies justice minister’s request to suspend consideration of lustration bill

The Constitutional Court of Ukraine has refused to suspend its consideration of the constitutionality of the provisions of the law "On lustration" until necessary amendments are made.

Head of the Constitutional Court Yuriy Baulin announced this after the court discussed the aforementioned appeal of Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko.

Afterwards, the court continued to hear the case into the constitutionality of clauses of the lustration law.
