French President Francois Hollande has no intention of changing France's position on the Ukrainian settlement in the light of the increase in Russia's activities in Syria.

“As to the parallels that can be drawn, I would refrain from it. The fact that Vladimir Putin is taking a more active part in the Syrian situation does not mean that we should change out approaches to the Ukraine issue in any way. I don’t think it’s that connected,” he said at the press conference following the “Normandy” summit.
