Acting Mayor of Kharkiv Hennadiy Kernes has won the mayoral election, Kharkiv City Election Commission reported on Thursday.
With 100% of the ballots counted, Hennadiy Kernes of the Regions Party scored 30.09% of the vote, whereas his principal rival, Arsen Avakov of the Batkivschyna Party won 29.46%. Thus Kernes has won the mayoral election with a margin of 0.63%.
