You're reading: Komorowski to pay official visit to Ukraine on April 8-9

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski will pay an official visit to Ukraine on April 8 and 9 for talks with President Petro Poroshenko. He will also address the Ukrainian parliament and visit the Bykivnia Graves memorial center for victims of political reprisals.

An official welcoming ceremony will take place in front of the Ukrainian presidential administration building on April 8 to be followed by Poroshenko and Komorowski’s meeting with the press.

The two presidents will attend a session of the Verkhovna Rada and Komorowski will address the Ukrainian parliament on April 9.

On the same day the Ukrainian and Polish presidents will visit the Bykivnia Graves memorial in connection with the anniversary of the execution of Polish officers in Katyn.

The upcoming visit to Ukraine will be Komorowski’s last ahead of Polish presidential elections scheduled for May 10.
