You're reading: Lytvyn: Degradation of parliament is obvious

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn has said that the current composition of the parliament deserves to be criticized.

“In my opinion, we should think about how the country will live
further and whether this parliament will exist. It was criticized
absolutely deservedly – the process of degradation is obvious,” Lytvyn
said on Friday in an interview with the Rada Channel.

At the same time, Lytvyn raised the issue what will happen if the parliamentary institution is eliminated.

“I am sure that the situation will become much worse in the country,”
he said explaining that the Verkhovna Rada is a place where politicians
from various political forces can express their opinions.

“It has to be constructive,” Lytvyn said.
