German Chancellor Angela Merkel assesses the results of the talks in the 'Normandy format' as positive.
“In general, it is possible to speak about the positive mood which we managed to attain at today’s meeting and that we were able to discuss important issues,” Merkel told a press conference upon the results of the ‘Normandy Quartet’ meeting.
“I believe that everything that we planned to attain was achieved today; the process continues, there is hope that despite some delay in comparison with the initial plan of the Minsk agreements, some concrete steps were attained,” she said.
